The Frost Control Valve is a currentless drain valve with frost monitoring. It can be used as an accessory for hot water units (boilers or combi boilers), as well as for permanently installed water tanks in caravans and motorhomes.

Operating instructions

1 = Push switch position “Operation”      

2 = Pushbutton position “Drain” 

3 = Pushbutton position “Closed”           

4 = Drainage socket (routed outside through floor of vehicle) 

Start working status & Closing the drain valve & Fill the boiler (water tank)

- Check whether the Push switch (Position 1) is set to “Operation” and is engaged. 

- Close the drain valve by pressing the pushbutton (Position 3). 

- The pushbutton must engage in the “closed”. 

- Only when the temperature at the drain valve is above approx. 7 °C can it be closed manually with the pushbutton (Position 3) and the boiler be filled.

 

Manual drain valve opening

Open the drain valve by pressing the pushbutton (Position 2),whereby the Push switch and pushbutton pops out (Position 1 and Position 3). The water from the boiler drains out through the drainage socket (4). 

Automatic opening of the drain valve

If the temperature at the drain valve is below about 3 °C, it opens automatically and the push button pops out (Position 3). The water from the boiler drains out through the drainage socket (4).
